Good Morning Folks,


My wife and I have been watching Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on the subject.


Now, I've never read the books, but I've heard Tolkein fans saying that this was the best movie version out there of the Lord of the Rings.


Well, it took us about a week to go through all 9.5 hours of the movies, and I've kind of come to the conclusion that the whole thing would be better done as a TV series.

When you need someone beside you, who's read the books telling you who the characters are, and why they're important and what they're talking about and why they're lapsing into non-human made up languages that are less intelligible than Esperanto, you know the film has problems.


I kept getting lost.  I kept having to ask, "Who's that?" "What are they talking about?" "Why'd they do that?"  Who's that guy and why is he ...
